RACE SERIES REGISTRATION OPENS WITH FREE SECOND SET OF WHEELS 1Registration for the Santander Consumer Finance KTM British Junior Cup is now open with the price of the bike confirmed at £6,425.00 (plus VAT) and a race entry fee of £2100, including personal accident cover.

Open to riders aged 13-18-years old; the series will provide every competitor with an identical ‘Cup’ variation of the recently-launched KTM RC 390. Promoted by MSVR, the series has been created to provide equal opportunity and a level playing field for emerging talent and will be spread across eight events incorporating 20 points-scoring races. Two official tests, subject to confirmation, are also planned in March 2015.

Fitted with a wide range of performance-enhancing KTM PowerParts, such as fully adjustable WP Suspension and an Akrapovič exhaust, the race specification bike costs £6,425.00 (plus VAT) and is only available from a KTM dealer.

The series registration costs £2100 and requires interested riders to put a deposit of £300 down to activate their inclusion for the championship at www.bsbteams.com. An available payment plan for the series fee, which also includes personal accident insurance, then requires three more payments of £600 each in March, June and August.

Riders and teams committing to their inclusion to the series before January 16 will also receive an additional set of wheels*, ideal for fitting with wet weather tyres.

Jackson tops opening day at Almeria BSB

Buildbase BMW rider Lee Jackson has topped the opening day of the first MCE British Superbike test of 2015 at Spain’s Almeria circuit. The BSB rookie is the only rider of the team present, after teammate Ryuichi Kiyonari was prevented from attending after visa issues.

Fellow rookie and former British Supersport front runner Luke Mossey was runner up, only 0.1 off the Lincolnshire rider, while 2014 BSB race winner Howie Mainwaring was third.

"The test has started off really well, and we have been improving the bike set up step by step. It's really starting to feel like my own. It’s good to have today under my belt with everything going really well. We have got some more work to do on setup but the general feeling with the new bike is great.”

Tomorrow will see reigning BSB champion Shane Byrne and his PBM Kawasaki teammates of Ian Hutchinson and Stuart Easton joining the action, with two more days of action planned at the Spanish circuit.

Entries closed for the 2015 Isle of Man TT Races, fuelled by by Monster Energy, at the end of February, and race organisers have confirmed a truly stellar line-up.

As in previous years, every class was oversubscribed, presenting the organisers with the huge headache of selecting who made the final start list but they have produced a world class entry suitable for the greatest motorcycle race in the world.

The RST Superbike and PokerStars Senior races will again create the most intrigue and headlines. With the top 20 seeded riders all having lapped comfortably over 127mph, it’s the strongest top end of the field ever witnessed. It’s no less impressive further down the order with the top 70 riders having already lapped at over 120mph and with 91 entrants targetting the 72 starting places that are up for grabs, this year’s two six-lap races should be absolutely barnstorming affairs.

Honda Racing’s John McGuinness, the 21-times TT race winner now back to full fitness, will lead the field off at number 1. He will be eager to reclaim his King of the Mountain title from Michael Dunlop, whose eight wins in the last two years have seen him rightfully grab the headlines. Now on board the all-new Milwaukee Yamaha R1, Dunlop goes off at number three with James Hillier, another member of the 131mph club, sandwiched between them on the Quattro Plant Bournemouth Kawasaki.

Bruce Anstey, the current outright lap record holder, will start from his customary number five position. The Kiwi is again on the Valvoline Racing by Padgetts Honda and will have that elusive first Superbike victory in his sights.

After Dunlop’s feats of 2014, there are three BMW-mounted riders in the top ten. The Tyco pairing of William Dunlop and Guy Martin go off at numbers six and eight respectively with Michael Rutter starting at number four. The Midland’s based rider is expected to announce details of his 2015 team shortly.

Gary Johnson, last year’s opening Monster Energy Supersport race winner, will again take the number seven plate, which this time will be the JG Speedfit Kawasaki, Mark Smith-Halvorsen’s BSB team making their debut at the TT. The top ten is completed by 2010 hero Ian Hutchinson (PBM Kawasaki) and Conor Cummins, the Ramsey Rocket continuing in the Honda Racing set up where he’ll be looking to get his first win after a second and a third last year.

Dean Harrison, riding for the Mar-Train Racing team, is onboard the second front running Yamaha at number 11 with Keith Amor, making his big bike return, lining up at number 12 on the RigDeluge BMW. Another Superbike returnee, Ryan Farquhar sets off 20 seconds later on his KMR Kawasaki, the former team-mates starting either side of 2013 TT Privateer’s Champion Lee Johnston (East Coast Construction BMW) who will again assume the number 13 plate.

Dan Kneen is set to go at number 15 although the talented Manxman is still in the process of finalising his plans having seen his proposed ride with Millsport Racing fall through. David Johnson (Smiths BMW) goes at 16 followed by last year’s sensational newcomer Peter Hickman (Briggs Equipment BMW), Dan Stewart (Wilcock Consulting Honda), the rasping Norton of Cameron Donald and Steve Mercer who completes the top twenty on his privateer Honda.

Dan Cooper, Ivan Lintin – set for a strong season on the RC Express Racing Kawasaki – Russ Mountford, Jamie Hamilton and consistent Italian rider Stefano Bonetti are all just outside the top twenty. Horst Saiger, who almost broke the 125mph barrier last year, will surely achieve that feat this year with regular top privateers Ben Wylie, Rob Barber, Davy Morgan and Robert Wilson back for more.

Some of last year’s leading lights – James Cowton, Martin Jessopp, Michael Sweeney and Daniel Hegarty – give further proof of the strength in depth of the entry with Jamie Coward and Derek Sheils returning to the fold having both missed out on last year’s meeting.

The entry has further been bolstered by a large influx of leading Manx GP competitors who are already knocking on the door of 120mph+ laps, most notably the winners of last year’s Junior, Senior and Lightweight races, Andy Lawson, Andrew Soar and James Neesom, which adds further strength and means the line-up from 20th to 70th is arguably the strongest it’s ever been. Others to make the step up include overseas visitors Kamil Holan, victor in the 2012 Newcomers race, Marco Pagani and Bjorn Gunnarsson and Frank Gallagher, Sam West, Anthony Redmond, Ben Rea and Matthew Rees.

James Ellison and the JG Speedfit Kawasaki team ended their penultimate day on circuit at Guadix by topping the times as they prepare for the opening round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship at Donington Park this Easter (April 4/5/6).

Ellison has continued to complete multiple runs on circuit testing a variety of new parts, running times consistently in the 1m:13s lap times, with his best lap of 1m:13.3s putting him just ahead of Halsall Suzuki's Christian Iddon.

Ellison said: "It continues to be a really good test here and we have worked hard again today through a variety of parts, whilst keeping the geometry settings the same as we had in Cartagena, as that seems the best base. We have run through a variety of different parts and settings, including brakes and linkages today and every time we go out we have seen an improvement. We have tomorrow to finish off the last things we need to achieve here, perhaps even try the SC0 tyre tomorrow, as today everything we have done has been on the SC1. All in all we are a happy camp ready for the final day."

The Halsall Suzuki team have stepped up again during the second day on track at Guadix with Christian Iddon and Josh Waters both improving their pace as they prepare for the final day on track tomorrow (Thursday).

Iddon continued to impress on his first test with the team, clocking up consistent lap times in the 1m:13s barrier as the pair continued to test a variety of setting changes and parts whilst running on the Pirelli SC1 tyre.

Iddon said: "It has been a really good day and we have bought the average lap time down into the 1m:13s, which is really positive as we have done a lot of work during the sessions and on used tyres too. That has helped to give us some good information and we haven't been able to go for any one off laps to see what we can do, but that isn't want today has been about.

"We have some good engine braking strategies to work on tomorrow, keeping the gearing the same as there are a few hairpins here that are very similar to the ones at Donington. We want to do some more consistent runs tomorrow and then we can have a go with the SC0 to see how the bike reacts to that too."

Waters said: "We have had a good plan that we have worked through today to work on the mid-corner and exit, which has been pretty positive so I was happy with that. There is still a bit more work to do, but we have tomorrow still and then we should be closer. Like Christian we have done everything on the same tyre and that has helped work through some of the areas, so tomorrow we can stick an SC0 in and see what difference that makes too. I feel we have a good understanding of the bike now we have had a good few days on track and if we can have another good day tomorrow then I will be happy."

Kent was officially opened this past Monday by four-time MCE British Superbike Champion, Shane Byrne.

Byrne was on hand to open the new headquarters on-behalf of John Surtees MBE and The Henry Surtees Foundation.

The Kent SERV Blood Bikes Charity are a part of The Nationwide Association of Blood Bikes, alongside seven other branches.

Despite being formed 20 years ago, the Kent branch of the charity has never had its own private headquarters until now.

The new headquarters is located on Farthing Corner at the M2 services and will serve as the central hub for the charity’s lifesaving work.

The new base contains garaging and welfare facilities as well as a training suite for the team of volunteers who help run the charity.

At the opening, Byrne said: “I was absolutely honoured to be asked to represent John Surtees OBE and The Henry Surtees Foundation to officially open the SERV (Kent) Headquarters on his behalf. Charities like the Blood Bikes and Air Ambulances do an incredible job.

“I hope that I will never need their services, but it’s a charity that resonates with me and fellow bikers. I’ve chased time at race tracks in pursuit of podiums, but for the likes of the Air Ambulances and Blood Bike groups, every second can literally be the matter of life or death. These new headquarters are easily accessible will enable them to continue their vital lifesaving work across the county”

The SERV Blood Bike volunteers are on duty every night and throughout the day during the weekends to transport vital items such as blood, vaccines and x-rays.

The Henry Surtees Foundation have supported the SERV Kent over the past few years and helped to fund the recent ‘Blood on Board’ project alongside the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance.

The project involves SERV Blood Bike riders delivering blood to the Air Ambulance every night so that medics on board can transfuse blood immediately at the scene of an accident.

Mel Johnson, Secretary for SERV Kent, said “We are delighted that Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne was able to open the premises on behalf of the Henry Surtees Foundation. We all appreciate his support. Over the past three years of working with John Surtees, The Henry Surtees Foundation and The Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance Trust we have had a huge boost both financially and with raising our profile. This boost has helped us make this significant step forward enabling us to open our new Head Office which will further enhance and improve our quality of service to both the NHS and our Charity Partners’”

News from John Hopkins @JHopper21 just now on Twitter: Hi all, sorry for the lack of tweets over this past Winter ! Just wanted to put out a current update regarding future plans etc.. Unfortunately after my original 2015 plans to take part in WSBK fell through, it left me scrambling to find another ride but with 95 % all rides taken by that point in most all of the top competitive championships, it forced me to take a step back and truly decide whether or not I wanted to continue my racing career or make the very difficult decision to retire...? After putting a lot of thought into it and weighing everything up, I came to the decision that there was no way I was going to end my racing career with how it ended in 2014 and I was going to do everything possible to get back out on track and show my true talent, potential and dedication ! With the 2015 BSB season yet to start, I've been speaking to as many team managers as possible trying to put some sort of a deal together and although I've had some interest from a couple teams, nothing has been confirmed yet and I'm still vigorously searching and working on putting some form of a deal together even if it is just a "trial" ride for the season opener at Donington Park on Easter Weekend and then take it from there !!! I have spent the entire Winter training and riding Motocross so I'm not only ready to go physically but mentally, I'm extremely motivated and hungrier than ever to get back out on track and show my true potential !!! After spending the majority of the Winter back home in California, my family and I are now back in the UK so that if a ride did become available and present itself I'm here ready to go ! I am planning on heading up to the official BSB test at Donnington Park tomorrow to meet with a few teams and will continue to do everything possible to work on getting back out on track ! I also just want to say thank you to all my family, friends, sponsors and of course the fans who have stood behind me and supported me all these years ! Again, i apologize for the lack of updates over the past few months but I can promise, I am doing everything possible to get back out on track and will continue to do so until an opportunity arises !!! Ετσι ,η καβασακι στο βρετανικο πρωταθλημα χτυπαει πρωτιες ειναι καμποσα βεβαια ,στο δευτερο ο Λινφουτ με το φαιρμπλειντ τον παιδεψε με πολλυ ωραιες αληλοπροσπερασεις με τελικο νικητη τον Σεην Μπερν.[62η νικη ]
Στα σουπερσπορτ περιμενα κατι καλυτερο απο Γκαι Μαρτιν αλλα και εκει το θεαμα πολυ καλο .
Επισης πολλα χαι σαιντ [τρεχουν χωρις ηλεκτρονικα] και πολλες τουμπες σε ολες της κατηγοριες
