so I was thinking maybe this is one of the more pointless forms of motorsports I'd seen yet... then I got to about 1:20 and thought "yes, I'm quite sure now this is one of the more pointless forms of motorsports!"
But of course it comes down to a challenge that one guy thinks he's better at than lots of other guys, so they show up to do it and that is plenty of reason to do it. And an excuse for lots of people to show up and drink and watch them get hurt trying.
