Well, once I paid the retainer fee for the attorney, the ball was set in motion. Whether they recanted or this was going to the Supreme Court, I wasn't being billed another penny. The educators stood their ground, and said either she was right or everyone else was wrong, and there was no middle ground. There was no point in giving up after all of that, knowing I was going to win. Judgment prevailed and they settled it out of the courts, favorably for my daughter. Did they really mark every other kid in the country wrong? Probably not. I was in no position to audit it anyway, and seeing her final grade at the end of the year was proof enough to me.
