Όντως αλλά όχι το ducati όπως είπες...
    όλο το πακέτο!
    Αναβάτης - μηχανή - ελαστικά!

Κάπου λειτουργούν κάποια πακέτα και αλλού άλλα!

    πχ εγώ πιστεύω!

    οτι

    ΥΑΜΑΗΑ - DUCATI
    αναβάτης = 1 - 0
    μηχανή = 0 - 1
    ελαστικά = 0 - 1

    Rossi Interview Transcript
by susan haasMonday, July 23, 2007
Valentino Rossi held his post-race press conference outside of his motorhome last night after the USGP at Laguna Seca. This is a transcript of the session.

I'm happy because I am the first of the Michelin. [Laughing] No, is quite frustrating, because today, the difference was unbelievable. We have some problem with the rear, because we don't have the same amount of grip of yesterday with the same tire and the same condition. But anyway, also if we have the grip of yesterday, is not enough, because Bridgestone have half a second lap by lap. In the perfect condition, after we have some problem, the tire don't work very well this afternoon, and we take nine-tenths for lap. What I have to say, I think, that in these two races, we see that the condition is quite bad for our championship, because now the tires decide all the results. Last week, just six days ago was the opposite, where Bridgestone was in trouble and Michelin arrive in front. And in just seven days, is the opposite. So I think is very bad for all the factories, all the team, and I think also for the crowd, because like this is difficult, and also the race is like Bridgestone race, Michelin race. So have one moment where Bridgestone go faster and all the rider of Bridgestone go faster, or have one moment where Michelin go faster and all the Michelin go faster than Bridgestone. But you never have the battle at the same level.

Q So do you want the tire rule scrapped, the 31-tire rule?
    A. I don't know. For sure, the rule what do from Bridgestone, because they say Michelin have an advantage to make the tire during the weekend. I agree. But for sure this rule is not good. We need more tires.

Q Just on the safety question, we've seen some bad incidents this weekend, crashes, qualifying. Only one fine has been given, one action was taken, a $2000 fine for John Hopkins. Do you agree with this?
    A. First, this track is dangerous. So can happen if you race in Laguna. We make a lot of work. This year fantastic work with the asphalt. But have some point, like the Corkscrew where Guintoli and Hofmann have the crash, is very easy to make mistake. And I think the fee is more for Kurtis Roberts than for Hopkins. Because is not possible to put one rider that arrive 13th in Superstock to ride MotoGP. Is not good. I mean, is dangerous, because Melandri have a bad crash and is lucky to don't make a lot of pain, but Roberts was in the center of the line, roll off the throttle and look behind. So this is the more dangerous. Hopkins is just angry with Carlos, but is just bad for looking, but can happen.

Q Talking about the tires, do you think we should have a one-tire rule in MotoGP?
    A. So. Now, I don't know. But I have to say that like this is very bad for the show, I think. Because all the fans like the riders and like the manufacturers. You have Ducati fans, Yamaha fans, Rossi, Stoner, Capirossi, everybody. But nobody is Michelin fan or Bridgestone fan. So the people that looking on television say, "Why now Rossi take 30 seconds and last time Stoner take 30 seconds? What's happened?"

Q Do you feel that Michelin gave you an advantage in years before, though?
    A. For sure. But so we speak a lot about this, come se dice monogomma in English? One-tire rule. But it was one-tire rule until 2003, just Michelin for 15 years. And nobody have problems. For sure Michelin give an advantage in the last years. Until the half season of last year, where Bridgestone make a big step, and I have to say a big thank you to Michelin. Now the situation is opposite. The problem is for the show and for the people, and for the riders, and for the manufacturers that put a lot of money. At the end is the tire decides.

Q Vale, the situation now, do you think it's possible, everything being equal, that you can catch Stoner like you caught Hayden last year? If nothing bad happens to Stoner?
    A. Nothing is impossible. We have seven races, a long way to go. But we have to wait what's happening this month in France for our tire. We have to go in front of [the factory in] Clermont-Ferrand to say "You have the new tires?" If not, is difficult. But we never give up. We are here for try to win.

Q Is it only the tires? What about Yamaha?
    A. Yes. Yes, for sure. I'm agreed, because the bike is a little bit too slow this year, unfortunately, especially compared to Ducati. And this is a big disadvantage. But we have some, I hope, some new stuff in Brno, and I hope that work. Usually arrive something from Japan. And after, we see. For sure we have to work. I have to work. Yamaha have to work. But at the end, I think my setting today was not bad. But we take one second for lap.

Q Can you believe it, two years in a row, last year and now this year? You're so far behind, 44 points behind the championship leader.
    A. Eh, can I believe, because is real. And yes, for me, you know. I try my maximum. I want to enjoy, I want to ride my bike like I want, I want to fight with the other guys, the same 11, or sometimes you have less speed, sometimes you have better handling. But with the tires, no way.

Q Valentino, are you prepared to take mechanical risks from Brno onwards, if they have new parts? You are far behind now, are you willing to take risks?
    A. We - no. Risk, big risk, never. We try. I don't know exactly what arrive. I hope something arrive, because Brno is very important the engine. Maybe we try during the practice, and after we decide.

Q Like all the other manufacturers, Yamaha could go and get Bridgestone tires if they wanted. They could do this.
    A. Now I don't want to say nothing very strange this early. I trust in Michelin. I don't know why, I don't have a reason because Bridgestone is a lot, a lot better than Michelin. More or less have equal. But we'll see. We'll see. But for sure, we have another seven races for try to come back and try to fight with the Bridgestone.

Q Will it be more difficult to try and catch Stoner than it was to catch Hayden last year?
    A. So, last year the difference was that the situation was different. Unlucky braking, tires, engine. This year is more performance about Stoner, about Ducati, about Bridgestone. So I don't know. Now we go on holiday, and we'll see. We have seven races. Is a long way. We always try to win. After, we see.

YAMAHA ANNOUNCES TWO-YEAR DEAL WITH JORGE LORENZO

Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd announces that it has concluded a two-year agreement with 250cc World Champion Jorge Lorenzo. The 20-year-old Spaniard will make his MotoGP debut in 2008 aboard a YZR-M1, with direct Factory support.

Lorenzo, who won the 250 title in 2006, is currently leading the championship, after winning six out of the first ten races this season.

"Yamaha has been watching Jorge's career with interest for some time and we are delighted that he will be joining our MotoGP line-up from next season" - commented Lin Jarvis, Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Racing. "We are sure that he will be a valuable asset for the future and we look forward to the commencement of his MotoGP career with Yamaha."

The exact structure of Yamaha's team and rider organization is still under consideration at the present time. Further details, including Lorenzo's team structure, will be announced in due course.

Stoner slams Rossi 'more tyres' plea.

Championship leader claims Italian 'whinger' looking for excuses.

World champion elect Casey Stoner has hit out at MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi's call for a change in the current tyre regulations, accusing the Italian of not being able to cope with a difficult season.

Speaking to Australia's Melbourne Age newspaper, the Ducati rider said that Rossi needed to stop 'whinging' and get on with the regulations, which were brought in at the start of the year in an effort to contain costs. Under the new regulation, Michelin is prevented from bringing specially-constructed tyres to events - something it used to do even on the eve of race day of qualifying had not been promising - with all riders restricted to 17 nominated rear tyres for each race weekend.

"This rule is not good and we need more tyres," Rossi said earlier in the week, "The problem is for the show because, at the end, it is the tyre that decides the race."

Stoner has been the revelation of the season so far, taking on the much vaunted Rossi-Yamaha combination and winning six of the eleven races to date to open out a commanding 44-point cushion over the Italian, who has missed opportunities to close the gap when the Ducati-Bridgestone alliance has been weaker than his Michelin-shod Yamaha. Rossi has three wins to his credit so far, including hunting down early leader Stoner at Assen, but his return is a far cry from the years of Michelin dominance, in which he won five world titles and more than 60 races.

"At the beginning of the season, Valentino and the others were all for the new tyre rules," Stoner points out, "but, as soon as they don't win, the rule is crap. I've had my bad races this year, especially in Germany, and I'm not complaining about the tyre rule.

"They can moan and whinge about it as much as they want, but it shows that [Michelin] has had such an advantage in the past. This season, they cannot bring a tyre in just for the race [and] it's a matter of relying on the company that supports you to do a good job."

Interestingly, Rossi's crew chief, Australian Jerry Burgess, is in favour of keeping the rules as they are.

"The tyre rule has not been the main reason for Valentino not winning races this season," he said enigmatically, "I like the rule, it's equal for everyone and think it should stay."

    Stoner wants more.

Aussie not content to sit on championship advantage.

MotoGP world championship leader Casey Stoner has vowed not to 'cruise and collect' over the remainder of the season, despite holding a comfortable points lead over Valentino Rossi and the rest of the field.

The Ducati rider told Australia's Melbourne Age newspaper that he intends to chase further victories to add to his six-win haul before the end of the campaign, despite the danger of pushing too hard and handing Rossi a glimpse of a sixth title.

"I'm planning to push flat-out, not just ride around to get points," the 21-year old insisted, "I'm aiming to extend the championship lead, not just try and hang onto it. I still want to go out and win races, I don't want to go out and finish second or third just to get some points."

Only Yamaha rival Rossi has a realistic chance of overhauling Stoner - who is spending the mid-season break resting and training at home in Australia - with third-placed Dani Pedrosa some 66 points adrift of the Ducati ace and fourth man Marco Melandri a further 42 points adrift. Stoner, however, insists that he is not focusing on the title just yet, believing that giving of his best on race day will help success come his way - and sooner rather than later.

"The championship has been on my mind for the last few races, but I'm still not letting it affect me," he said, "However, if I'm going to be able to win the championship, I would like to do it before the final round. I've got a nice advantage in the points now, but I don't want to sit back and relax. I want to grow the advantage."

    Toseland confirms MotoGP switch

Britain's James Toseland has confirmed that he is moving from the World Superbike Championship to race MotoGP next season with Yamaha Tech 3.

The current WSBK Championship leader on 305 points, Toseland is leaving his Ten Kate Honda team for a two-year deal with the French Yamaha outfit.

France's Sylvain Guintoli and Japan's Makoto Tamada ride for Yamaha Tech 3 in this year's MotoGP Championship, where they are presently languishing at 18th and 14th respectively.

"I am delighted to have secured a rider of James' calibre and am looking forward to working with him," said team boss Herve Poncharal.

"Procuring James is a major coup for Tech 3 Yamaha and for the MotoGP championship."

"It is an exciting time for us and I'm sure that he will be an integral part of the team's future."

The 26-year-old Yorkshireman has been racing in WSBK since 2001 after making the switch from British Superbikes.

He won the Championship title in 2004 while riding with Ducati.

The World Superbike Championship continues in Brands Hatch this weekend, with Toseland holding a 43 point advantage over Italy's Max Biaggi (Alstare Suzuki).

Toseland "over the moon" at move

Delighted World Superbikes star James Toseland has told eurosport.yahoo.com why the time is right to graduate to MotoGP.

The Briton signed a two-year contract with the factory-supported Tech 3 Yamaha team, and revealed he only found out about the offer two days ago, on returning from the Suzuka 8 Hours, before penning the deal on Wednesday morning.

"I agreed things on Monday when I got back from Suzuka but that was the first time when we had this decision to make," he explained.

"Before that it was just speculation, but now it was on paper. I was over the moon. I had a conversation with my mum, we sat around and said it's what I've been waiting 10 years for and I just had to take the opportunity."

Toseland said it would be tough to leave behind the championship he has raced in - at Supersport and Superbike level - for nine seasons.

The 2004 world champion has a 43-point lead over Max Biaggi and is on course for his second title; making it very tempting to stay.

"It's been a great championship for but I am moving on and it's not easy. It's my family. Since I was 17 years old this has been my life," he said.

"I say hello to all the teams and mechanics and managers every morning and there is a very comfortable atmosphere there. I've gained a lot of respect with my results as well.

"The easy decision would have been to stay in Superbikes, sign another year, no problem. If I wanted to stay in Superbike I think I'd just sign a lifetime agreement to stay there and win as many championships as I can."

The Hannspree Ten Kate Honda man said the Japanese marque were not prepared to offer him a MotoGP ride, and so he was forced to sign for arch-rivals Yamaha.

"I haven't really sat down with everybody [at Honda] and discussed it yet, but it has been announced today so my phone is going to be red-hot when I switch it back on!" said Toseland.

"I was honest with everybody, with Honda and with my team. If I got an offer to fulfil my dream then I would take that opportunity.

"Unfortunately Honda's biggest proposal was for me to stay in World Superbike, which I could understand. Things are going well with me and Ten Kate, and they've got their plans for MotoGP.

"But it's the right time for me to make the switch especially with this opportunity."

Despite speculation that the move would also bring a switch from Pirelli to Michelin tyres, Toseland said he did not yet know what rubber the Tech 3 team would use in 2008.

"I'm not 100 percent sure. All I know is that it's going to be a competitive tyre, we'll just have to wait and see which but it won't be a problem.

"I don't know which I would prefer. From one weekend to the next things change, it's a bit of a lottery at the moment in MotoGP who has the advantage. It doesn't really matter."
