MotoGP , Stoner will be the Grand Prix in Austin
Saturday , 29 March 2014 15:56 by Matteo Aglio - MotoGP
Casey Stoner together with his ex squdraA Sometimes it happens that the repentant return to the scene of the crime. This time it's Casey Stoner has decided that - surprise - leaving Australia to go see the GP in two weeks in Austin. The former world champion will surely circuit on Sunday, but it is said that not anticipate the arrival of a few days. It will be the second time that Casey will go to attend a race of the championship after his retirement , the former was last October in ' his ' Phillip Island where Ezpeleta had appointed Legend of MotoGP.
In theory, there would be nothing strange , the paddock is often full of riders no longer in business who come to see the races. But do not call Stoner. The Kangaroo was gone from the circus , slamming the door and at the GP of Australia had not even stopped on Sunday . But now decided - of her own free will - to fly in the United States .
Casey , this season , is officially ' retired ' . Just V8 Supercars races in the championship and also the test with the Honda ( for which last year had developed the bikes Factory and Open) have been suspended for his will. At 29 years to accomplish , perhaps, the life of the stay- on is not yet for Stoner also if you want to try any new hobby to pass the time . Besides fishing, his favorite pastime , the Australian was keen to radio controlled models and also to the arches .
A few days ago showed off her new purchase on Twitter and Crutchlow immediately teased him : " looks beautiful . I have a lot 'of journalists lined up if I could take it to Austin ! You can use it first. " Casey immediately answered him , " you can do it ."
Seriously, the presence of Stoner at a Grand Prix is a really unusual and definitely curious because it could also mean that the Australian is thinking about a return . Moreover there is no reason that the obligation to travel to Texas and if you wanted a seat for next year would have no trouble finding it.
Nakamoto has repeatedly stated that for him there will always be a Honda , and perhaps dreaming to join him in Marquez , replacing Pedrosa in 2015. This will be a hot year for the market, with all the big names out of contract , the best deal if he really wanted to race again . If it was not Tokyo , it could be Borgo Panigale . The Ducati still run with the Australian saint in his pocket and the Desmosedici is improving and next year could finally be competitive and ready to welcome him back . Finally , there is the Suzuki. The project is promising and Hamamatsu could use the experience and the speed of Casey to develop the new bike.
Many ideas and few certainties for now. But think of a simple pleasure trip to meet with old ' friends ' is difficult, at least qu

Yamaha boss: Rossi a title contender in 2014
Valentino Rossi’s brilliant victory challenge in the season’s opening MotoGP race in Qatar proves that the Italian is a genuine title contender in 2014, according to Yamaha boss Lin Jarvis.
The 35-year-old was a close second to reigning world champion Marc Marquez in an enthralling opening to the 2014 campaign under the Losail International Circuit floodlights in Doha.
One of Rossi’s best races of 2013 was his fight with Marquez for second position in Qatar and many thought that would be the catalyst for him to embark on a challenge for an incredible 10th world title.
But he found it difficult to recapture that form for much of his return campaign to Yamaha and despite a memorable win in Assen, he scored only four podium finishes.
After a positive winter testing campaign, Rossi is convinced he will pose a stronger threat to dominant Spanish trio Marquez, factory Yamaha teammate Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa, who between them won 17 out of 18 races last season.
And if he is to convince himself that retirement isn’t his next big career move, then he will need to capitalise on last weekend’s victory challenge in forthcoming races in Austin, Argentina, Jerez and Le Mans.
Yamaha boss Jarvis is in doubt that Rossi’s potential is higher this season and he told MCN: “Frankly, I think he'll be looking to capitalise on this as much as anyone. Last year he was coming from two difficult years at Ducati and he was happy to be back home. Now he knows he is at home and he wants to win. He has come into this season giving his absolute maximum concentration and attention to detail and we have seen the results. I don't think we will see the same dip as last year. I believe Valentino will be there. His ambition is no doubt to go for the championship and we've seen he was a very close second to Marc, so based on that he is absolutely a title contender.”
