"It's been going on for some years now. My hands never seem to leave the keyboard, my eyes never seem to leave the screen. Days and nights go by in a blink of an eye. I work in a constant state of hyperstimulation, a by-product of youth and perfect knowledge, connected to a cyberspace console that projects my conscience into the artificial illusion of the core. Time is fluid around me. I am now part of a bigger whole. I now look but do not see, I now touch but do not feel. Streams of infinite data pass through me as if I were transparent. Its a whole new world in here..."
And then the phone rings. It's a friend, one who hasn't forsaken me yet. I'll be going out tonight.
I can't wait to go back online...
